"I have been accepted into GE and BAE systems for Mechanical Engineering Industrial Placements, as well as making it to the Mercedes F1 final interview (going from 1000 applicants to the final 14). Much of my success in these interviews, particularly with regards to the behavioural questions, is largely due to the advice Zidan gave, which is no surprise given his extensive experience passing interviews at JLR, BAE and Deloitte.

One of the key pieces of advice I can remember, is to understand what the interviewer is looking for with particular questions. Once you can successfully identify the key values that the interviewer is searching for, it becomes much easier to tailor an answer to be successful. Another valuable piece of advice I can remember is to choose experience that exemplifies key values that make you stand out, i.e. boldness, courage, attention to detail, initiative etc. Zidan personally asked me several tough interview questions and gave me honest feedback on my answers. I learnt that some of my answers were not directly relevant to the skills or traits they were looking for. Zidan also made me aware of the STAR method very early on, which several companies like Mercedes & GE directly advocate for; however is useful to apply to any job interview.

I would like to add that I did not only receive help for the interview stage, but for the whole application process, from the initial CV & cover letter, to the application process, to the tests and assessments. I was not aware of the fact that CVs go through an automated screening process to check for key words that are important to the company. 

The amount of advice Zidan gave me extends far beyond the short summary I have given in this email. Overall I can say that he had a significant and positive effect on my application process, and I am honoured to receive such help from a highly skilled individual."
